About
Serene Movement offers evidence-based education and strength training programs for women navigating perimenopause and beyond.
We focus on both the physical and mental sides of movement. Through a blend of science-backed exercise, behaviour change strategies, and supportive coaching, we guide women from feeling overwhelmed to feeling confident and capable in their bodies.
Background
Based in Victoria, BC and led by Serena Peck, Serene Movement offers a range of program options, from supportive beginner pathways to more comprehensive training and private coaching.
Many of the women we work with are in seasons of transition: shifting hormones, evolving energy, changing priorities, or a renewed desire to take ownership of their long-term health. Our role is as much about education and steady guidance as it is about exercise, creating space to rebuild trust, confidence, and resilience in the body.
Serena is a Registered Kinesiologist with over eight years of experience in cardiac and cancer rehabilitation and clinical research focused on women’s health during treatment and recovery. Through this work, she witnessed the powerful role movement plays not only in restoring strength, but in supporting confidence and long-term wellbeing in women navigating complex health challenges.
Today, she focuses on supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, blending evidence-based exercise with education and behaviour change principles to help them develop functional strength, mobility, and sustainable habits.
Our Values
We believe that understanding your body changes everything. When women know why certain movements and habits matter, they feel more confident and empowered to make choices that support their long-term health.
Education
Sustainability
We focus on creating routines that fit into everyday life and grow with women through each season. Building strength and mobility is a journey, and we are here to guide every step with patience and care.
Compassion
We meet women where they are, offering guidance, patience, and understanding. Every body is unique, and we create space for trust, reassurance, and gentle encouragement as women reconnect with their strength.
Joy
We want movement to feel uplifting, energizing, and even playful. Feeling capable in the body and proud of one’s progress is at the heart of everything we do, so women can enjoy their health with confidence and ease.
Language Note
For the purposes of this website, we primarily use feminized language (she/her) when discussing perimenopause and menopause, as this reflects the population most commonly represented in research and clinical practice.
This is not intended to be exclusionary. We recognize that transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals may also experience perimenopause and menopause, and their experiences are equally valid and important. We welcome and support all individuals navigating these life stages.
